The Group Practice Exchange  The Accountability Equation™, with Maureen Werrbach & Special Guests

The Accountability Equation™

Online Program

Get out of the Day-to-Day Management of Your Practice.

Create a practice of structure, accountability, and profitability with The Accountability Equation™

Imagine a world where you come to your group practice mid-morning and know with certainty that your team is taking care of all the nuts and bolts of running the business.
With innovative systems, structures, and, most importantly – the same collective mindset in place so that your group practice runs efficiently without you being the “taskmaster” every day.
It sounds like a dream come true, huh?
Keep reading, friend, and get ready to…

...Implement The Accountability Equation™

Escape the day-to-day running of your business.
You're ready to be the true Visionary in your practice – capable and willing support staff will get you there.
Put the right people in the right seats.
- Do you have a leadership team?
- Are your staff empowered in their roles?
When your therapists and employees clearly understand their accountabilities, they show up every day prepared to take ownership of their role in supporting the practice’s goals – without relying on you for direction.
This means you’ll spend more days free from a million interruptions to answer questions. And your staff will keep projects moving forward without always requiring your input.
With the right delegation strategy, your staff has the confidence to think more independently and make better decisions.

But, as it Stands Now, You’re Still the “Go-To.”

You’ve finally hired staff in your practice, hoping to get yourself out of the day-to-day. But you find that you haven’t lightened your workload – just shifted from “doing” to “directing.”
You spend your days answering questions, making decisions, putting out fires, and dealing with drama. And now you’re wondering if you made the best hires. Maybe you’ve yet to see any progress.
Perhaps staff are falling short of expectations.
It feels as if you’re in the same place, with a different group of people around you. You probably feel like you’re the only one who can make big decisions, solve the issues, and answer all the questions.
No one else “gets it.” And certainly, no one else knows the intricate details like you do. You might feel like you spend the entire day directing and re-directing employees and providing oversight.

 About the Framework

from your group practice expert and Accountability Equation host, Maureen Werrbach

Set Your Team Up for Success:

Implement the Accountability Equation To Scale Your Practice Sustainably

When the focus is on tasks rather than roles, your employees can't take ownership of the work that needs to be done.
Without a well-defined set of roles and responsibilities that show them how they need to contribute to the business’s success, they are left to their “best guess” on how to support you.
I’m on a mission to help more therapists build sustainable 7+ figure group practices that run like clockwork – profitably. The Accountability Equation could easily be one of the most important systems your practice implements for success.
The Accountability Equation is a framework I developed using business tools I have perfected over years of building my group practice. I read all the business books, tested all the systems, and used trial and error to build a practice with a leadership team that could support and grow the business.
I now have 4 locations, generate 7+ figures in annual revenue, and have more than capable staff running my entire practice without needing me daily.
And I’m ready to share this system with you and your team – so you don’t have to waste precious time figuring out what works like I did.

Systems for Success

Structure your practice and your staff for ultimate success

The Accountability Equation™ framework is a method of structuring your practice that was developed based on my trial and error, plus testing and perfecting these concepts with other group practices like yours.
Once you implement the Accountability Equation in your practice, you’ll have:
A motivated and capable leadership team ready, willing, and able to take ownership over entire functions of the practice
- You’ll have confidence in your staff to make good decisions and follow through on goals
- Rid yourself of debilitating stress and overwhelm by wearing all the hats
A highly productive clinical team in alignment with your practice:
- Structure your clinical staff to deliver highly effective therapy
- Create a system to hold therapists accountable for serving clients in alignment with your practice’s goals and values
Clearly defined ownership and accountability:
- Trust that the essential things are getting done and getting done well.
- No more balls getting dropped. No more chasing down statuses. No more babysitting tasks.
A practice structure built around the most important functions needed for your success:
- Get a clear understanding of what’s most important to the success of your practice so you can eliminate busy work and tasks that don’t matter.
At-a-glance resources to quickly tell if your team is focused on the right things or if something is off track:
- Create performance metrics to give your staff real-time feedback on whether what they’re doing is working.

THE PROGRAM AGENDA

Peak Inside The Accountability Equation Online Program!

The Accountability Equation™ will take you on a journey, moving you from overwhelmed practice owner to knowledgeable CEO. It has 5 core concepts within its flow, called The 5 As.

The Accountability Equation™ is not an overnight solution. It’s a journey. It’s an entire group practice operations framework that, when implemented, has the potential to create structure, accountability, and profitability in your practice – and make it feel like minimal effort.

I’m here to support you as you and your team implement this framework. Check out each of the 5 A's and the program content structure:

Module 1 : Start |

Before we begin the 5 A's we'll go over the framework and overview of each stage of the program and prep you with materials to help you get started.

Video 1: Welcome and Intro into AE

Video 2: Goals for AE and differentiating factors to this accountability program

Video 3: Overview of the 5As

Video 4: Accountability Blueprint

Video 5: Your Accountability Tracker for AE

Module 2: Assemble |

You’ll start your journey by defining the foundational functions, roles, and responsibilities that are most critical to keeping your practice operational day to day.

Making sure all the key functions are covered and eliminating work that doesn’t provide value is the starting point to building a team and a practice that operates efficiently and effectively.

VIDEO 1: Intro into Assemble and walk through/support for ‘Creating Your Roles and Functions’

VIDEO 2: Roles and Functions Matrix walk through/support

Video 3: Common obstacles Assembling your R+F

Module 3: Assess |

Once you know the core functions and roles,  you will assess your current staff to make sure you have the right people in the right seat. If you’re going to achieve true accountability, the leaders you put in place need to not only “get” their role and be capable of doing it, but they also need to understand how to lead others.

In the Assess phase, you will conduct a variety of business and leadership assessments designed to help you place the right people in the right seats to ensure the success of your practice.

VIDEO 1: Intro to Assess and into using ‘Tenets of a Great Leader’ and application of these in business

VIDEO 2: Leadership Self Assessment

VIDEO 3: Business Leadership Assessment

VIDEO 4: Interview Questions for Leadership

VIDEO 5: Common obstacles when Assessing your team (Wrong person/role/not putting 2+ people into a role)

Module 4: Assign |

When you’ve selected your ideal leadership team, you’ll need to define what success in their role looks like. In the Assign phase, you’ll clearly define the parameters that each function and role will be measured against. This keeps staff focused on what matters most and gives them real time feedback as to how they are doing and if it’s moving the practice in the right direction.

Other elements in the Assign phase are creating coaching plans for success – helping your leaders lead their own staff and hold them accountable. We will also cover how to implement anti-oppressive accountability measures to honor your values of diversity, equity and inclusion.

VIDEO 1: Intro to Assign then into ‘Creating Your Accountability Tracker Meeting’

VIDEO 2: Common Accountabilities

VIDEO 3: Quarterly Goals that support accountabilities

VIDEO 4: The Coaching Path

VIDEO 5: Antioppression in Coaching and Accountability Setting

VIDEO 6: Common obstacles in Assigning (Resistance to accountability setting by team)

Module 5: Audit |

Auditing means putting a system in place to regularly measure the practice’s performance – keeping everything moving in the right direction. No more surprises.

I’ve put together a comprehensive set of templates recommending key metrics in administrative, clinical, HR, and onboarding every group practice owner should be measuring.

VIDEO 1: Intro to Audit and then into KPI List and how it interacts with dashboard

VIDEO 2-7 are the folders from the person who built the dash

Module 6: Action Plan |

Where most frameworks fall short is in the follow through. Developing systems and structure is only a piece of the equation. You and your team actually need to use the systems regularly to make them effective.

As part of your Action Plan, you will get templates for incorporating these systems and structures into your daily and weekly operations.

VIDEO 1: Intro to Action Plan then into Leadership Agenda Explanation

VIDEO 2: Leadership Agenda

Module BONUS: Hire Your Fractional Integrator |

This section will be all about understanding what an integrator does, breaking down how they'll support cross functional teams, and your business, as you step our of your day to day operations. I'll dive into how you can fill these absurdly large shoes so you can feel ready to fully step back.

VIDEO 1: What does an integrator do

VIDEO 2: promoting from within or hiring externally

The AE Framework Incorporates the

Most Innovative Business Practices Including:

Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)

Profit First

Radical Candor

And other expert inspiration

Alone, these systems did not work exactly as I needed them to as a group practice owner. So my team and I incorporated a few of the concepts that worked the best, enhanced some others, and added our own based on what drove success for us.

See the Accountability Equation In Action!

Most of us went to school to be trained in counseling, not running a business. The skills required to be a therapist are not necessarily the skills required to run a business and manage a team of people.
Meet Ella.
Ella was in such a state of burnout and overwhelm she considered closing the doors to her practice.
She had her support team in place – client care coordinator, practice manager, billing specialist, clinical director, site supervisors, and clinical supervisors. But somehow, she was still the go-to person for giving direction, making decisions, resolving issues, and monitoring how the practice was performing.
She really didn’t manage to get anything off her plate. She simply shifted from doing all these things herself to managing the people who were doing all these things. Because her admin and leadership staff had no systems of accountability in place, they relied on Ella to give them direction and tell them what to do.
Does Ella's story sound familiar?
Some other consequences of running your practice without accountability might include:

Micromanaging

Being a bottleneck

Becoming stagnate

High staff turnover

Poor employee morale

Low or no profit

Not paying yourself consistently

No clue how the practice is performing

Low client retention

Change the Trajectory of Your Group Practice…

The tools you implement with The Accountability Equation are designed to:

Get you out of the day-to-day management of your practice while maintaining performance

Generate predictable revenue and profit for you and your practice

Create scalable management and operations systems that allow the practice to grow and make a bigger impact with less effort from you

Build a team of staff and therapists aligned with your mission and excited to support the practice and its clients

Maureen Werrbach

Hi. I’m Maureen Werrbach – owner of a 7+ figure group practice in the Chicago area with 4 successful locations and founder of The Group Practice Exchange — where I coach other group practice owners on building systems and designing their leadership to create their own thriving 7+ figure practices that can run themselves so you can do what you love most.

I’ve gone through all the trial and error finding what works so you don’t have to. I currently run 3 separate businesses and still make plenty of time for myself and my VIPs. And I couldn’t have done it without implementing this framework in my business.

In The Accountability Equation™, I’m sharing with you the exact framework I use to delegate the right things to the right people and hold them accountable for doing those things well.

These systems have allowed me to not only step away from the majority of the day-to-day, but to grow my practices and make the impact in my community I always thought I would make. With these systems in place, Urban Wellness is in a prime position to sell someday when I’m ready to exit the business.

Casey Gromer

Hey there! I’m Casey Gromer. I’m an MBA graduate with over 20 years experience working in business and marketing. I’m currently serving group practice owners as a business strategist and Fractional Integrator. I’m an expert at creating efficient systems that shave time and help practice owners like you reach success.

Maureen is one of my favorite clients. Together, we have perfected her team’s Accountability Chart and Performance Dashboard so that she rarely has to worry about what’s happening in the business.

Over the last several months, I’ve worked with multiple group practice owners who’ve asked for help structuring their teams and ensuring everyone is on the same page, doing their part to move the business forward – even when they aren’t owners or founders of the business.

This framework was designed using Maureen’s experience designing delegation systems that are working across the board. You’re going to see examples of what’s working for others and also be able to custom design the system that works best for your practice.
